Ifeanyi Ubah Splashes N15m On Players & Coach After Federation Cup

 Federation Cup triumph: Dr. Ifeanyi Ubah doles out largesse to players, coaches, fans; to commence European tour next month
Still basking in the euphoria of last Sunday's superlative performance of his team, which saw them emerge as winners of the 2016 men’s Federation Cup competition, President of FC Ifeanyi Ubah, Dr. Ifeanyi Ubah in his usual display of magnanimity on Tuesday, doled out a whopping N15million to the players, management and supporters of FC Ifeanyi Ubah.
The players are expected to share the sum of N10million while the Management and Supporters' club are entitled to enjoy a bounty of N3million and N2million respectively.
The Chairman of the club, Mr. Chukwuma Ubah in a chat with newsmen said that this kind gesture was the President's little way of appreciating the enormity of the role played by the players, management and supporters' club throughout the course of the campaign to the eventual triumph which has made the entire people of Anambra state happy and proud.
Reacting to the surprise, team captain Elu Wilson, who clearly could not hide his elation stated that the players were in awe of what they had achieved and the contribution of the President towards actualizing this historic feat. "We are very grateful to the President, Dr. Ifeanyi Ubah for believing in us. To lift this trophy has always been a dream but today our dreams have come true. To receive a reward of this magnitude for our efforts is a sheer show of Dr. Ifeanyi's nobility. In truth, we should be the one rewarding him for all the investments and constant motivation he has given to the team. We are very grateful to him" he concluded.
The players of FC Ifeanyi Ubah made a return to their base in Nnewi on tuesday and were thrilled to a rousing welcome by their supporters as they headed straight to the Winners' Chapel Pentecostal Church for a brief prayer and worship session to thank God for his mercies and kindness towards them.
During a plenary session of the Anambra State House of Assembly on tuesday, presided over by the Speaker of the House, Rt. Hon. Rita Maduagwa, the Honourable members congratulated Dr. Ubah on the historic achievement while eulogizing the players and the entire management of the team for making the state proud by winning the Federation Cup.
The team and its supporters are also billed to commence their European tour of 5 countries next month in preparation for next season's local and continental engagements.
